‍Mural Honoring The Jordanian Troops

This mural represents the strong, courageous and tenacious soldiers of the Jordanian Peace Keeping Forces.

The mural features a photo montage of scenes of the forces on ground in various locations of intervention, mounting and operating a myriad of army equipment.

The scenes are abstracted using a computer algorithm that reveals the image by varying the width of 150 strips that reveal the image using monochrome color differentiation.

Topographic World Map Representing the Countries of Disaster Relief

The World Map Mural represents the heights at which the Jordanian Peace Keeping Troops have reached to provide aid and assistance to various locations around the world.

The Map is an interactive, three dimensional cartographic depiction of the geographic topographies globally, represented in an abstract contemporary language, and envisioned with state of the art technology.

Mural Honoring the Jordanian Peace Missions

This mural represents the humanitarian role that the Jordanian Peace Keeping Forces play in disaster relief. The mural features a photo-montage of scenes of the soldiers on duty: protecting civilians in war torn countries, providing shelter, food and medical aid.

The scenes are abstracted using a computer algorithm that reveals the image by varying the width of 150 strips that reveal the image. The strips are designed to be water-jet cut from brushed Aluminum.

منذ انضمامها الى منظمة الأمم المتحدة عام 1955، ساهمت الأردن بشكل كبير بالمهام الانسانية على الصعيد المحلي والاقليمي. فقد كان للراحل الملك حسين دورا كبيرا في مساهمة الأردن مع قوات حفظ السلام الدولية، مما أثر في زيادة تعزيز الثقة والاحترام للمملكة في الأمم المتحدة.

وبناءً على توجيهات جلالة الملك عبد الله الثاني القائد الأعلى للقوات المسلحة الأردنية، تم اتخاذ مبادرة للحفاظ على ذكرى هذا الفصل في تاريخ البلاد من خلال اقتراح ساحة نهاية الممر التاريخي في حدائق الملك الحسين، في العاصمة عمان.

للمساهمة في هذا المشروع، قمنا باقتراح تصاميم لثلاث لوحات جدارية تمثل الجهود المبذولة في مساهمة الأردن في الأمم المتحدة على الجبهات الإقليمية والدولية. تم تصميم اللوحات الجدارية كمنبر رئيسي للساحة، يحكي قصة جيش الأمة في الدفاع عن السلام داخليا وعالميا، و تقديم الإغاثة للبلدان المحتاجة.

تقسم الجدارية الى ثلاثة أقسام:

- جدارية لتكريم قوات حفظ السلام الأردنية.

- خريطة تمثل الارتفاعات الطبوغرافية وبلدان مشاركة.

- جدارية تكريم بعثات السلام الأردنية.

جدارية تكريم قوات حفظ السلام الأردنية

هذه الجدارية تمثل الجنود الأقوياء، الشجعان والمثابرين في قوات حفظ السلام الأردنية. تتميز اللوحة بمونتاج صور لمشاهد القوات على الأرض في مواقع مختلفة،  وإستعراض المعدات العسكرية. تم استخراج المشاهد باستخدام أنظمة حاسوبية، تظهر الصورة عن طريق تغيير عرض 150 شريحة باستخدام لون أحادي. تم تصميم الشرائح بحيث تقص بنفث الماء من الألومنيوم المصقول.

خريطة تمثل الارتفاعات الطبوغرافية وبلدان مشاركة قوات حفظ السلام الاردنية

تمثل جدارية خريطة العالم المرتفعات التي وصلت إليها قوات حفظ السلام الأردنية لتقديم المساعدات لمختلف المواقع في جميع أنحاء العالم. الخريطة طبوغرافية تفاعلية ثلاثية الأبعاد للارتفاعات الجغرافية في العالم، مقدمة بلغة تجريدية معاصرة و مصنعة بأحدث التقنيات الفنية.

جدارية تكريم بعثات السلام الأردنية

تمثل هذه الجدارية الدور الإنساني الذي تلعبه قوات حفظ السلام الأردنية في الإغاثة من الكوارث. تمثل الجدارية صور لجنود في الخدمة: حماية المدنيين في البلدان التي مزقتها الحرب وتوفير المأوى والغذاء والمساعدات الطبية. تم استخراج المشاهد باستخدام أنظمة حاسوبية.

Ever since  joining the United Nations in 1955, Jordan had contributed immensely with humanitarian missions on international, regional and national fronts. The late King Hussein, had played a major role in Jordan’s contribution with the International Peace Keeping Forces, further reinforcing the country’s trust and respect at the United Nations.

Based on the directions of the Supreme Leader of the Jordanian Armed Forces, His Majesty King Abdullah the Second, an initiative had been taken to preserve the legacy of this chapter in the country’s history by proposing The United Nation’s Square at the Historic Promenade of Jordan at the King Hussein Park in Amman, the country’s capital.

Our response for contributing to this iconic project is to propose designs for 3 central murals that combine the efforts of Jordan’s contribution within the United Nations on Regional and International fronts. The murals are designed as a keystone for the square, telling the story of the nation’s army in defending peace both internally and globally, and offering relief to countries in need.

The mural is composed of 3 parts:

- Mural Honoring The Jordanian Troops.

- Topographic World Map Representing the Countries of Disaster Relief.

- Mural Honoring the Jordanian Peace Missions.
